Natwest Mobile Phone Insurance

Natwest are one of the 4 biggest banks in the United Kingdom and one of their premium account services is Natwest mobile phone insurance, which provides a number of benefits and insurance policies to all those that take up a premium [paid] account. Of these policies, one of the main ones is the Worldwide Mobile Phone Insurance package that they offer, which has a number of different features for those planning on taking their phone abroad at some point. It is only available to Natwest customers but their website claims that it could save up to £119 for those who take it out.

The first – and most vital – feature that the insurance has is that it will cover your phone for loss, damage or theft wherever you happen to be in the world. This means that it is now possible for Natwest customers to take their phone abroad without the worry of having to watch it every second and without having to ceremoniously hide it from potential pickpockets all of the time. It must be noted though that the coverage is only available up to a maximum value of £1000, but there really aren’t too many phones out there worth more than that, maybe only phones like the 24ct gold iPhone 4s that was recently sold on ebay for thousands!

Natwest mobile phone insurance also covers the policyholder for a maximum of £1,500 worth of unauthorized calls, which is a real possibility when a phone is stolen in a foreign country. This only applies to contract mobile phone customers though – for those with pay as you go handsets, the figure is actually £100. Either way, this could save the owner a lot of money in the event of their phone being stolen and misused. Just make sure that any incidents are reported within 24 hours, as this could form part of the agreement that you sign with Natwest mobile phone insurance.
